An unscripted glimpse at the Canadian Equestrian Team's athletes, supporters & fans before, during and after major games. #CanadaStrong

Today was the Dressage jog which ran from 9 – 11 am.
Canada was 3rd country in, and everyone passed with flying colours.
It seemed a little nerve-wracking to me, as they had the jog immediately adjacent to the spectator stands with no buffer zone. And they seemed to be having trouble with the large speakers that were standing right at the jog, with some crackling happening at very inopportune moments.

But all of that did not phase our Canadian riders & horses who looked incredibly smart in their Canadian blankets, with their coats gleaming under the Mexican sun.

The draw happens at noon today, with an incredible 12 countries fielding full teams (I think that might be a PanAm record!). At at around 2pm Canada will get 20 mins to ride in the main ring.

Tina and I are now busy organizing accreds for the Eventing horses’ plane which lands at 2:15pm today. Hopefully things will go even smoother than they did with the Dressage horses.
I’d like to take this opportunity to give HUGE props to Jim Wolf (Team leader for the USEF) and Tim Dutta (Dutta Corp who is handling all of our horse flights) for their incredible support to me and the Canadian team. They have both been absolutely wonderful to work with, and going that extra mile to ensure that everything goes as smoothly as possible.

Looking forward to another update tonight of how things went with the Eventing horses’ arrival, and hopefully finally getting some video up!
