Our Canadian dressage riders put in another fantastic day of performances.
Rookie Roberta Byng-Morris led the team with a great ride in the Intermediaire 2, climbing up the rankings significantly from Day 1. Unfortunately only a max of 3 riders per country can move on to the final Freestyle. But Roberta was thrilled with Reiki Tyme’s performance (as she should be!!….they finished the class in 16th!), and she’s got that lovely shiny silver medal to go home with as a testament to her hard work, dedication and kick-ass performance here in Mexico.
Tina was given a 70.842, Crystal a 71.000 and Tom a 73.079. That has them in 10th, 9th and 4th respectively.
Although I was unable to catch Crystal’s ride, I hear it was a stunner.
Tina definitely had a better ride today, but the judges seemed to be stingier with their marks.
Tom and “Sox” looked their usual very composed selves, and despite an extremely unusual off-course mistake (he started some beautiful pirouettes…but sadly he was supposed to be doing 3-tempis), they were awarded a great score with Gabriel Armando giving them 75.000
Tina and I are thrilled to be invited to a Dressage celebration dinner tonight, so we’re off to try and do something with our unruly hair and get into some clean clothes.
Ill leave you with some more pics.
